  • New Era Sparks Team Spirit in London

    New Era and TweetWall Pro to support NFL games in London

    October 30, 2013 : The headwear brand installed TweetWalls in the heart of the British capital to promote their international campaign #SpeakWithYourCap. These were part of the pre-game events supporting the NFL international Series in London this past September and October.

    Imagine the biggest shopping area in the center of London on a Saturday in late September, replacing cars and buses with a massive TweetWall, bungee run, and music. Now you get a feel for the atmosphere of one of many New Era NFL events! This TweetWall incorporated a scoreboard tallying bungee run team winners while also providing a place for New Era customers and sports fans to share Tweets and pictures.

    On game day in September, a TweetWall placed outside Wembley Stadium was designed to spark team spirit for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Minnesota Vikings NFL game. As people Tweeted to #NewEraSteelers or #NewEraVikings the number of Tweets were counted. The goal was to spark competition beyond the field.

    To expand on the #SpeakWithYourCap campaign TweetWall Pro’s Wheel animation was customized and placed inside New Era’s London flagship store and as part of the NFL pop-up retail stores in Trafalgar Square and outside Wembley Stadium. As customers purchased their New Era Caps they were invited to Tweet their pictures to #SpeakWithYourCap and to enter to win New Era prizes.

     

    To extend the international campaign even further, an online TweetWall was used to capture online viewers, creating a fully integrated approach to New Era’s campaign and sparking team spirit worldwide.
