  • Integrate Sponsors with Fake Social Posts!

    Fake Social Posts

April 14, 2015 : Yes you read that correctly!

    Fake Social Posts!

Not to be confused with Fake Followers on Twitter or Fake Fans on Facebook - our Fake Social Posts won't jeopardise your social media accounts.

So, What Do We Mean By Fake Social Posts?

Okay, so generally TweetWalls and Social Walls display real-time conversation, populated with REAL Tweets and posts from social media.

BUT sometimes you want a little more control over your content ... and sometimes that means displaying messages that aren't necessarily on Twitter or Instagram. Examples of this would be if you wanted share information or repetitious messages that are only relevant to event attendees, rather than your entire social media following.

A Perfect Idea For Generating Sponsorship Income

For a recent event, a client wanted to incorporate messages from several sponsors on their Social Wall, without it appearing like an advertisment board. They also wanted to feature their own messages with useful time and event-specific reminders and information for attendees.

But neither the sponsors, nor our client, wanted to spam their followers outside of the event with repititious or irrelevant messages.

So, our [completely amazing] development team came up with the concept of posting simulated social posts using our message system, enabling us to accomodate the 20-30 messages an hour to be displayed and highlighted on their Wall.    The post integrates a username, profile picture, time stamp, message and shared photo.

[Above: An integrated Social Post appears on the Social Wall within the message stream. The message icon (speach bubbles) above the message in red, indicate that this is a custom message and not streamed from Twitter or Instagram]

If you're wondering if that meant the Wall was always full of "fake social" content, it wasn't. Messages appear on the wall on average every 10 seconds (customizable), which results in around 360 messages displayed in an hour, so just a small percentage overall.

The sponsored simulated social posts also "popped" from the display as they used our custom highlight feature in their specific brand colors to make them stand out in the message feed - a very subtle but effective form of advertising.

We love brainstorming with clients and coming up with new ideas and concepts to take your events to the next level, so don't be shy, just pick up the phone or send us an email.

Looking forward to speaking with you soon!
